The 91mobiles portal has published exclusive CAD renderings of the future iPhone 16 Pro. Typically, such drawings are sent to accessory manufacturers in advance, so there is a chance that they actually depict the design of Apple’s next flagship.
Previously, there were rumors that the iPhone 16 Pro would change the design of the camera unit, combining three lenses in the form of a triangle. However, the new images show the already familiar version of their design, used by Apple with the iPhone 11 Pro model. At the same time, the smartphone should become slightly larger by increasing the screen diagonal from 6.1 to 6.3 inches. According to 91mobiles, the dimensions of the future model will be 149.6 x 71.4 x 8.4 mm versus 146.6 x 70.6 x 8.25 mm for the iPhone 15 Pro.
Two more small changes are expected. Firstly, the action button will increase in size and will be comparable to the volume buttons. Secondly, on the right side, under the power button, another button will appear, responsible for quickly launching the camera and shooting. It is expected that it will be touch sensitive with the ability to respond to pressure. Among other things, it will be responsible for adjusting focus and zoom.
According to rumors, the iPhone 16 Pro will receive a camera with 5x optical zoom, as in the current Max version, as well as a new ultra-wide-angle camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels. We can also expect a new A18 processor, where the emphasis will apparently be on neural unit (NPU) performance.
