US-based startup Luma AI has entered the battlefield of visual AI to compete with players like OpenAI’s Sora. Luma AI has introduced a new tool named Dream Machine. There is just one differentiation though. Dream Machine won’t drain your wallet as it offers free access to the public. According to Luma AI, Dream Machine is a next-generation video model which is capable of creating high-quality, realistic shots from prompts in natural language using AI.
The introductory text on the website reads, “Dream Machine is an AI model that makes high quality, realistic videos fast from text and images.”

The company claims that Dream Machine generates 120 frames in 120 seconds and can iterate quickly. This tool reportedly creates five-second shots featuring smooth motion, cinematography, and drama, while enabling experimentation with a wide range of fluid, cinematic, and naturalistic camera movements. However, Dream Machine has its limitations. The official website identifies morphing, movements, text, and Janus as current constraints.
Enough talking about the tool, let us have a look at some of its creations.
