iPhone users can now use Google’s Circle to Search feature: Here’s how

If you felt jealous of the Google Pixel 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra users for having the Circle to Search feature, don’t be. Your iPhone also has a similar feature that allows you to search for items on screen. Google Lens’ Design Manager, Minsang Choi, has shared a new Siri shortcut that lets iPhone 15 Pro users use Google Lens to do a visual search using the action button. However, if you don’t have the latest model, you can use the Back Tap gesture on the base iPhone 15 or older models to activate the Siri shortcut to do the same.

To enable the feature, you need to do three things – Install the Google app, install the Shortcuts app, and you also need to enable and set the Action Button or Back Tap gesture on your iPhone.

Here’s how to install the Google app

— Open the App Store on your iPhone.

— Search for the Google app in the search bar.

— Tap on the app from the results and Install it.

If you already have the Google app, make sure to update it to the latest version.

Here’s how to install the Shortcuts app

— Open the App Store on your iPhone.

— Search for the Apple Shortcuts app in the search bar.

— You should see the app in the results. Tap on it and install it.
